As CEO, Tommaso will lead Monsoon Commerce across all divisions and product lines, including the Monsoon Pro, Monsoon Stone Edge, and Monsoon WMS software lines, as well as the Alibris online marketplace. Tommaso brings more than 23 years of experience growing successful global software and engineering businesses. His previous leadership positions include CEO of Merchantry, an eCommerce marketplace platform provider, and CEO of Wimba, a leader in collaborative learning software applications. He has significant experience building and aligning effective teams across organizations and developing strategic initiatives that build on market demand. Tommaso holds a Master of Science and Technology and International Economics from the University of Grenoble II & III as well as an MBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from INSEAD.
As CTO, William leads technical efforts for the Monsoon Commerce software business. He was previously co-founder and CTO of mobile technology pioneer ThinkShare. He has served in leadership roles in product development at Electronic Book Technologies, Mentor Graphics, Context and Tektronix. He attended Reed College.
Mary is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of Human Resources for Monsoon Commerce. In this role, Mary leads recruitment and staff retention efforts, including hiring, training and coaching all members of a growing team. She is also charged with developing and executing HR policy and procedures, as well as administering compensation packages, payroll and benefits. Mary brings more than a decade of experience in human resources leadership to her role. She is passionate about developing an exceptional, employee-oriented and high-performance company culture.
Scott leads all client services efforts for the software division of Monsoon Commerce. In this role, he is responsible for onboarding new customers, technical support and professional services, delivery of new product releases, and leveraging cross-functional resources to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction through multiple channels across product lines. Scott previously served as Client Services Manager at Evosus Inc., and Program Manager for Microsoft Corp. He brings more than 20 years of experience managing client satisfaction in fast-paced technical environments to his role. Scott earned an MBA from Marylhurst University and a BS from University of Oregon.
As CFO, Liz oversees all financial operations for Monsoon Commerce. She has more than 25 years of experience in financial management, strategic investment, and M&A activity, including significant IPO experience with particular focus on technology and Internet companies. Liz’s experience spans a wide range of industries and includes retail, media, and entertainment, online advertising, software, and professional services, from start-up to multi-billion dollar businesses. Before joining Monsoon Commerce, she was Executive Vice President and CFO of Oversee.net, another Oak Hill Capital portfolio company focused on technology and lead generation. Her prior roles as CFO include Fluid Music Canada, Inc., RazorGator Interactive Group, Digital Insight Corp., and KornFerry International. She played significant roles in the public offerings for Fluid Music and KornFerry. Prior to that, Murray held key financial roles at Hughes Electronics, which she joined after four years at Deloitte. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from Robert Gordon University in Scotland and is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Rob is responsible for driving innovation across all product development efforts for Monsoon Commerce. He previously served as the Vice President of Product Development for Merchantry, and the Senior Director of Marketplaces & Business Integration for eBay Enterprise (formerly GSI Commerce). Rob’s breadth of experience extends to information technology, systems integration, eCommerce, management, and application development. He is a seasoned technology executive accomplished in full life cycle development, with a proven record of increasing efficiencies and reducing costs. Rob received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as well as an MBA from Lehigh University.
Ray leads engineering efforts for the Monsoon Stone Edge product line and acts as the GM of the Philadelphia branch of Monsoon Commerce. Ray's primary responsibility is developing and delivering platform solutions aligned with strategic initiatives. He oversees a team of software engineers, QA, and technical writers. He also works closely with cross-functional groups to maximize performance and drive business outcomes. Ray previously served as the Senior Software Engineering Manager for the SeaChange International Advance Applications Division, and was a software engineer at Motorola. Ray has a breadth of leadership and team-building experience, and broad technical knowledge, including creating strategic technology initiatives to increase top line revenue, product development, assembling outstanding technical teams, building learning organizations, and delivery of mission-critical systems that affect tens of millions of users. Ray is the recipient of a Communication Technology Platinum Award for a product developed on his co-authored patent. He holds an MBA from DeSales University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College.
Mikhail leads Monsoon Commerce business development efforts in addition to overseeing product management and product marketing strategy and is the chief evangelist across a multi-product portfolio. He is responsible for understanding and anticipating market needs and competitive intelligence, and crafting and executing the product roadmap, product positioning and messaging, sales enablement tools, and go-to-market plans. Mikhail previously served as the Senior Director of eCommerce at Defy Media, and the Associate Director of Product at Merchantry. Mikhail was also the Co-Founder and Product Architect of ClickFacts, Inc., an early Y Combinator company. Mikhail has extensive experience across the eCommerce landscape, including product development and marketing, operations, integrations, merchandising and localization. He received an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, and a BS from Boston University.
